I know this topic is brought up countless times by countless people but here is my spin on it.  I think there is a common misconception that if you buy a mac, you will instantly be more creative and productive. You may think because of all the cool desktop apps that are available, that you will be uber productive and organized.  Sadly, this is not the case.  I find myself sometimes thinking of trying the mac craze, but it is just too expensive for me to get.  Now I am a web developer, so I don’t need the graphic capabilities of the mac, but more and more developers are starting to swear by their macs, which makes me think, am I missing something?  There is a spare mac in the office I could try, but we have no programs for it, so it really wouldn’t help me at all.  Maybe one day I will try and save a few grand to get a macbook, but untill then I will rock my $600 Toshiba and just get shit done.

I just had a conversation about time signatures with a friend of mine and after about 5 minutes of knowledge dropping, I realized how much of band geek I am and always will be.  Thats what happens when you have been involved with music for over 10 years.

suck sometimes.

Ever say yes to someone just because you know them and not ask all of your usual questions?  Then you find yourself 20 hours deep into a project and only being halfway done and essentially working for free.

Friends or strangers, doesn’t matter, they are going to get the same quality of work out of you, hence they should pay and be treated the same.
